UNDERSTANDING DRY EYE

Dry eye is a common condition that occurs when your eyes do not produce enough tears, or when the tears they produce do not provide adequate lubrication. This can lead to discomfort and may affect your vision and overall eye health.

Common Symptoms of Dry Eye:

- A gritty, sandy or foreign body sensation

- Burning or stinging eyes

- Redness

- Excessive watering

- Blurred or fluctuating vision

- Tired, sore or uncomfortable eyes

- Sensitivity to light

Tear Break-Up Time (TBUT) – assessment of tear film stability

Tear Analysis – evaluation of tear quality and quantity
